Validation performed for Gradient + Image Layers
================================================

Static / model checks
---------------------
- app_config.c: gcc -std=gnu11 -Wall -Wextra -fsyntax-only with SDL stub: PASS
- shader_look.c: same targeted syntax check: PASS
- overlay_hyprland_config.c: same targeted syntax check: PASS
- F11 wallpaper action range after stride expansion: last stage action 467,
  catalog begins at 480: PASS
- source tree checked for embedded NUL bytes: PASS

Catalog / manifest checks
-------------------------
- wallpaper manifests after addition: 360
- wallpaper pack directories represented: 53
- all pass fragment references exist: PASS
- all referenced .params files exist: PASS
- gradient-layer presets found: 7
- image-layer presets found: 7
- all new .params values parse as finite numeric scalar/vec2/vec3/vec4: PASS
- all Gradient/Image manifests opt into alpha-aware composition: PASS
- all Image manifests expose image capability: PASS

Alpha-compositor invariants
---------------------------
- alpha=1 reproduces previous RGB opacity formula for every existing blend mode
- alpha=0 preserves the complete previous RGB value
- stage opacity 0.6 with shader alpha 0.5 yields effective mix 0.3
- legacy/internal pass compositing calls alpha mode OFF
- only alpha-aware stages force the extra stage-composite pass

Sharing / privacy
-----------------
- shader-look capture explicitly clears local stage image_path
- .hyprlook writer declares stage_image_paths_exported=false
- .hyprlook reader does not accept/import local image_path
- HYPRLOOK_FORMAT.md documents this behavior

Native build attempt
--------------------
make hyprtile-wallpaperd was attempted. This container does not provide the
project's native development dependencies (Wayland/EGL/GLES, SDL3/SDL3_ttf,
FFmpeg, PulseAudio, FFTW, Fontconfig, librsvg, epoxy, libsodium, etc.). The
build therefore stops at missing external headers/pkg-config packages before a
real target compile can be completed. This is an environment limitation, not a
successful native build claim.
